Volcano ( mountain batur )
Mt. Batur as we know it today was formed by an eruption in 1917; it is a still active, secondary volcanic cone sporting numerous subsidiary vents around its flanks. The eruptions of Mt Batur have been registered since 1804 and since that time 22 eruptions of the volcano have occurred.
Since 1917 Mt Batur erupted three more times (1926, 1974, 1994), on each occasion shifting a little more to the west, creating new sub craters that are referred to as Batur I, II and III respectively.

  1. Hi, I’m a graphic designer. I am working for No-profit Association called Hemispheres. Next week we will organize in our city an indonesian event. Can I use your Tegallalang Rice Terrace photo for the brochure? I don’t receive any money for the brochure. I only use this photo for this event. Let me know.

  2. We went on this tour. It was great. A day well spent seeing the country side of Bali as well as the tourist sites. One thing, we wore thongs and found it very difficult to walk the rice terraces. I would definitely recommend shoes when going here. It’s a great walk down them but too hard in thongs, some slippery places. Overall a fantastic day though,
